Cocoa Starch Cake
Hello Dear Friends,
One of my favorite recipes My Lemon Starch Cake this time, I decided to cook the Orange Cocoa version, which is one of the flavors that suits the winter best. The texture and fluffiness of the cake was so good that it looked like the same sponge cake :)
While I was preparing my cake, this time I used a circle mold instead of a cake mold and set its diameter to 20 cm. Since the middle of the mold was not empty, the baking time was a little longer. If you are going to bake in a normal cake mold, the time can be shortened by 10 minutes.
In my first starchy cake recipe, there were people who were surprised because there was no flour in it and asked if I should add some flour. You definitely don't need to add flour. You can use whatever type of starch is available at home. Corn or wheat, it doesn't matter.
with me when you try my recipe Don't forget to share on instagram :) I would love to share the recipes you use with your photos in my story :) My Instagram account: @kitchensirlari

Ingredients for Cocoa Starch Cake Recipe
- 3 medium egg
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup of vegetable oil (sunflower oil)
- 200 g corn starch
- 3 soup spoons of cocoa
- zest of half an orange
- Juice of half an orange (half a tea glass)
- 1 package baking powder
- 1 pack of vanilla
For the top:
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 150 g cream
- optional orange slices or candied
How to Make Cocoa Starch Cake Recipe?
- Beat eggs and granulated sugar until foamy and fluffy.
- Add the oil and whisk until mixed.
- Add orange juice, orange zest and beat for a round.
- Add the cornstarch, cocoa, baking powder, vanillin and mix.
- When it is completely mixed, pour it into the cake mold that you have greased the sides and the plate (for a smoother appearance, lay greaseproof paper on the base and the edges of the mold).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 40 minutes. From the 30th minute, insert a knife every 5 minutes and see if it comes out dry (if it's dry, it's ok).
- Carefully remove the baked cake from the oven (a wire would be fine if you have it) and let it rest until it cools completely.
- Transfer the cooled cake to the serving plate.
- Heat the cream in a saucepan until it comes to a boil. Turn off the stove and add the chocolate that you cut into small pieces to the heated cream.
- Stir with a spatula until completely mixed and melted.
- Pour the warm chocolate ganache over the cake and serve by slicing.
the recipe is very good
