Hello Dear Friends,

My Friday recipe was shaped by having guests at home. I decided to make a spinach pie, one of my mom's favorite pastries, but with a twist. This time I prepared soda. When I served it, they thought I rolled the dough. It was so delicious :)

  • 1 pieces of eggs
  • 1 glasses of yoghurt
  • 1 tea cup oil

How to Make Spinach Soda Pie Recipe?

  1. Chop the spinach coarsely. Chop the onion for cooking and put it in the pan with the oil.
  2. When the onions turn pink, add the spinach and sauté until they release their juices. Set the stuffing aside to cool.
  3. For the sauce of the pastry, whisk together the oil, yoghurt and egg by adding a little salt.
  4. Take the yufka on the counter and apply the sauce you prepared on half of it. Cover the bottom part on the part where you applied the sauce and apply the sauce again to the upper part of the phyllo.
  5. Spread a quarter of the spinach paste on the wide part of the dough and roll the dough.
  6. Place it in the middle of a round tray by wrapping it in the shape of a rose, just like making a puff pastry.
  7. Spread the remaining sauce on the pastry and slice into 8 triangles. Pour 1 bottle of soda over the pastry to wet it all over. Wait for 5 minutes for it to absorb the soda.
  8. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until nicely browned (approximately 35 minutes).
