The spinach bulgur pilaf, which I shared in my story the other day, was loved and started to be tried immediately 🙏 So instead of cauliflower hash browns, I decided to share this recipe first 💕 I like to make a wide variety of bulgur pilaf. I especially love to add zucchini or peas in it.

Ingredients for Spinach Carrot Bulgur Pilaf Recipe

  • 1 cup of bulgur wheat (coarse grain)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 100-150 gr spinach
  • ½ cup tomato puree or sauce
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2,5 cup of hot water
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

How to Make Spinach Carrot Bulgur Pilaf Recipe?

1. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrot. Finely chop the spinach as well.
2. Take the butter, oil in the pan and add the onion and fry it.
3. When the onions become transparent, add the tomato grater and fry.
4. When the water has evaporated, add the bulgur and fry for 2-3 turns. Add the spinach and salt and continue frying.
5. Add the boiling water to the bulgur. Cook the rice on low heat until it starts to absorb its water, mix it for a while.
6. Cover the bottom of the rice that absorbs its water, let it rest for 10-15 minutes and serve.
