Islim Kebab with Meatballs
It is a really enjoyable dish, even more enjoyable to eat than to cook… It can be made with meatballs, as well as with lamb shank and pieces of meat.
Your friends will add color to the table with both its taste and visuality.

Ingredients for Islim Kebab Recipe with Meatballs
For Meatballs:
- 500 gr. mince
- Half bread crumb (crumbled)
- 3 medium onions
- salt, pepper
- 1 eggs
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
Other Ingredients:
- 2 meal spoon tomato paste
- 2 water glass of water
- Tomato
- Green pepper
- 1 kg eggplant (prefer thin and long)
Fabrication:
- Knead the meatball ingredients in a large bowl, break off walnut-sized pieces and form balls in your hands, lightly grease the baking tray and arrange the meatballs in the oven.
- Peel the eggplants first, then slice them lengthwise, don't be too thin, otherwise there may be a problem while wrapping the meatballs. Fry the eggplants on medium heat until lightly browned.
- Remove the oil from the fried eggplants with a paper towel. Place the fried eggplants diagonally in a bowl and put 1 meatball inside, cover the eggplants on the meatballs, turn them upside down on a tray, insert a toothpick into it and garnish with tomatoes and green peppers.
- Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used up and make tomato paste water so that it does not go over the top of the kebabs and add it to the tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
- If desired, serve by garnishing with mashed potatoes that you fill in a cream squeezing bag.
I took it to my iftar menu, trusting your recipes, the taste and presentation were really great. thanks
Good luck with your hands :)
plus….. if you put 4 5 peas in it while rolling the meatballs, it will be a surprise meatball…
I tried it and it was very good, thanks for the recipe.
Friends, if you want to cut down on calories a little, instead of frying the eggplants, you can cook them in a toaster without oil, then it will be a much lighter meal. otherwise the eggplants will absorb a lot of oil. hi
yes it makes sense but I don't understand how to put it in the fryer. can you explain?
You can also fry in a cast iron pan without oil.
Can't we fry the meatballs, why does it have to be cooked in the oven?
How many degrees and how long do we need to cook the meatballs? Is it okay if we grate the onion, which is a meatball ingredient?
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. You can grate the onion.
I cooked it, it was amazing, thanks :) keep trying all the recipes in order :)
