Hello Dear Friends,

I have a recipe that suits the last day of the week for you today. I haven't prepared anything related to poppy desserts and cakes for years. As for the reason for this, I do not like the crunchy contents of the things I eat in my mouth. But after trying the cake, I realized that there is absolutely no such thing. The already roasted seeds get wet with the moisture of the cake and become quite pleasant, which does not disturb people.

When I finished my work outside yesterday and came back, I was incredibly tired. When I decided to prepare something practical at home and have a rest, my wife said, "How long have you not been making cakes for ours (here he is talking about his colleagues)," and I spent the last streak of my last battery for the sake of cake. Let's see that the story did not happen like that. If you make a cake while dealing with the food on the stove and in the oven, you forget something with this head. Yeah! I'm a human as well :)

butter cake

You keep the most important part of the cake and forget to put the baking powder. Anyway, what can I see after the meal is over, my cake has not risen after 40 minutes and is white. If I didn't pull my hair out at that moment, I guess I won't pull out any more.

Anyway, once we set out on this road, we also encouraged our spouse. I made the bitter cake with the last 3 eggs in the refrigerator. Don't laugh, if I wasn't embarrassed, I would have named her Emrah :) Because it took 60 minutes to cook. After the 30th minute, I kept sticking my knife into the cake every 10 minutes. You can call it some kind of revenge :)

By the way, we have added our shopping site to the top right corner of my blog. Here's our new baby saltpeppershaker.com You can start shopping by visiting

That's how it is :) Have a restful and cheerful weekend.

Love…

Ingredients for Poppy Lemon Cake Recipe

  • 3 pieces of eggs
  • 1 water glass milk
  • 100 g butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest (to be grated on the fine side of the grater)
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring
  • 3 tablespoon of poppy seeds
  • 1 package baking powder

How to Make Poppy Lemon Cake Recipe?

  1. Beat 3 eggs and 1 glass of granulated sugar until the sugar dissolves completely and the egg mixture becomes like snow.
  2. Add butter to the rising mixture and beat for 1 more minute.
  3. Add the milk and vanilla flavoring and continue mixing. After adding the lemon zest, poppy seeds and flour, mix for 1-2 minutes, finally add the baking powder and mix for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the cake mix you prepared into the greased cake mold.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 55-60 minutes. Before taking it out of the oven, insert a dry toothpick or knife into the center of the cake and check the inside.
  6. Take the baked cake out of the oven and leave it on the counter until it comes to room temperature. Remove the cooled cake from the mold and slice it.

I think this time is reduced to 30-40 minutes in the turbo oven. 60 minutes reminded me of the days when we used to make cakes in a pie pan.

It took that long because the mold was narrow and deep. Be sure to check with a toothpick or skewer.

It is almost impossible to measure a spoon or a glass without melting the butter. We need it at room temperature, not melted. Therefore, it is best to measure it with a scale.

    Hello,
I also tasted this cake with my friend. He crushed 3 pieces of mastic gum and added it, it adds flavor to its flavor.

Another great recipe. Health to your hands. As a cake monster, it is impossible for me to be indifferent to this cake. I forgot to bring poppy when I came from Turkey, I will try the recipe as soon as I can get it with someone who comes. By the way, the new shopping site is very nice. I wrote a message to you via facebook, I would like to remind you that, if you can inform me at a convenient time, I would be very pleased.

Hello, my kitchen has taken the title of the cake I have baked for the longest time in my life :) After 30 minutes, start checking it from time to time. When the knife comes out dry, the cake is baked.
