rose jam ve of rose syrup Now is the time :) With the approach of Ramadan, I would like to share a refreshing drink recipe as much as I can. I tried this practical and delicious rose sherbet for the first time last year in Akyaka. I've been waiting for the time to come again to share it with you.

The recipe is quite flexible, as a matter of fact, it is based on rose petals and water. The important part is to wait :)

Generally, Isparta rose is used in making rose oil and rose water, and I also use it when making rose jam. Aunt Thanksgiving in the garden isparta roses In addition, it also adds fragrant red roses. Thus, the color of the syrup becomes dark red as in the photo.

Now is the time to collect roses, if you do not have a fragrant red rose, you can add the poppy from which you have taken the black parts to give color. Within 10-15 days, you will have a wonderful rose sherbet concentrate. You can easily sweeten it and dilute it according to your taste.

Ingredients for Rose Sherbet (With Fresh Rose Petals) Recipe

  • 500 gr. fragrant rose petal (red & pink mixed)
  • 1,5 Turkish coffee cups lemon salt
  • 4-5 liters of water

After color:

  • 1 glasses of water to 3 glass of rose water
  • sugar to taste

How to Make Rose Sorbet (With Fresh Rose Petals) Recipe?

  1. Extract and clean the rose petals.
  2. Remove the white parts by hand or with scissors.
  3. Wash 2-3 times and leave to drain.
  4. Dissolve lemon salt in some drinking water.
  5. If there are drained leaves, put them in a 5-liter glass jar, otherwise divide them into different jars. Add the melted lemon salt on top.
  6. Add water until the bottle is full and close the cap.
  7. Leave it for 10 days in a sunny place and for 15 days in the shade until the water gets the color and smell of the rose.
  8. Strain the rose petals with the help of a strainer.
  9. Add 1 parts water to 3 part rose water. Add sugar, mix and cool.
  10. Serve cold.
