One of the recipes that I wanted to share with you for a long time was grissini. It is a very practical dough recipe that can be prepared with very few ingredients, but it takes a bit of time to deal with it one by one :) And if you have a little one who loves such snacks, you have to hurry to finish it because our girl even tries to eat her dough :)

I also added the little leftover whole wheat flour to the grissini dough and mixed it with regular flour, but you can use only whole wheat or just wheat flour if you want.

I added flax seeds, chia seeds, oatmeal, and black cumin seeds. You can flavor it with different dry ingredients at home. For example, dried thyme, dried basil or sesame will be great.

I bake at 180 degrees, then put them all on the same tray, lower the heat and bake for 10 more minutes. So they become crispy.

Ingredients for Grissini Recipe

  • 1 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of warm water
  • 2 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoons of oatmeal

How to Make Grissini Recipe Recipe?

  1. Take the yeast in a mixing bowl, mix it by adding warm water and sugar.
  2. Add olive oil, flour, salt and mix.
  3. Add flax seeds, chia, black cumin seeds and oatmeal and knead.
  4. Roll the dough and cut small pieces with a chisel.
  5. Make thin long rolls of each piece on the lightly floured counter and put them on the tray where you have greased paper.
  6. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  7. If you want to dry it even more, reduce the oven temperature to 150 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes more, let it rest until it cools down and serve.
