Frittata – Italian Omelette
Greetings to everyone from a busy Monday,
Today, I finally had the opportunity to write a recipe that I have been planning to publish for almost a year. This delicious egg dish, which I normally make often and use different ingredients each time (whatever you have at home at that time), has waited a long time to meet you. As for why you waited so long, believe me, I don't know why :)
Frittata is an Italian word, derived from the word fry as far as I read. Frittata is also called Italian Omelette, but there are actually differences between it and an omelet. This situation Spanish omelet to Tortilla de Patatas same thing we say.
An egg dish in which you can freely put ingredients in the frittata, the more you enrich its content, the more satisfying it will be. The more you can puff it up, the more pastry-like it becomes. It can be served hot or cold not only for breakfast but also for other meals.
Remember, the more eggs are beaten, the fluffier your dish will be. I prepared the recipe for 2 people, but you can increase the size as you wish.
You can cook by fitting a lid on your last pan, but I recommend using an ovenproof pan. In this way, it will not cook more than six times.
Love…
Ingredients for Frittata – Italian Omelet Recipe
- 4 pieces of eggs
- 1 small potatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 pieces of green pepper
- 10 mushrooms
- 1 pinch of chopped parsley
- salt
- black pepper
- 4-5 tablespoons of oil
Fabrication:
- Boil the mushrooms and drain. Chop the boiled mushrooms to the size you want. In the meantime, open the grill of your oven and bring it to 200 degrees and leave it to heat.
- Chop the onion, potato, and pepper to the size of backgammon dice.
- Take oil, potatoes and onions in the pan, add salt and fry for 1 minute. Add the peppers to the potatoes and continue frying until the potatoes are soft.
- Add the mushrooms and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper and parsley to the eggs and whisk well. Pour the eggs over the cooked material and ensure that they are evenly distributed.
- Take the pan off the heat, put it in the oven and cook for 4-5 minutes until the eggs are fluffy. (Remember to use gloves when removing the hot pan from the oven.)
- Slice your frittata and serve.
Backgammon flaked potatoes and mushrooms, even if finely chopped, will not be cooked by roasting for 2 minutes. If you fry them until cooked, then the taste of finely chopped onions and peppers will deteriorate due to over-cooking. I think you will get good results.
it looks very delicious, where is the pan from, your objects are very beautiful;)
It would be nice for those who like to put sausage instead of mushrooms.
We can add sausage and cheddar or something, it will be much more delicious.
Thank you for your recipes. I'm going to make this and a wrapped banana in custard for iftar in the evening. tomorrow's puff pastry. May God not leave anyone hungry ;)) Good luck to you, I'm following

Well, do I make this omelet every morning from the name of it :)
Miss nilay, you are super. I especially love your kitchen utensils and your meals, of course. I will ask you something. I started the dukan yesterday and I didn't believe what I saw on the scale in the morning. Do you think I gave 1400:) I was 64,3 1 day ago today, I was 62,9 in the morning :) by the way I started this diet very inspired by you. But I still have a long way to go, I have 10 kilos :)
Omelette looks very successful. Good luck to you
