One of my favorite forms of spinach was Baked Spinach Egg, but somehow it became a flavor that was forgotten over time.

The other day, I stopped by an artisan restaurant, which I often go to to eat after leaving the gym. After looking at all the dishes one by one, I made my decision. Pasta with Spinach Egg and Yogurt :)

That moment felt so good that I promised to cook it at home as soon as possible. For a couple like us who love eggs and spinach, this measure is just right. If it is considered as a side dish rather than a main dish, 1 piece per person may be sufficient.

Check the spinach from time to time as it cooks. If the yolk and white of the egg is cooked too much, a thick crust forms on it and becomes very solid. It can also have a bitter taste. Therefore, if the egg whites are cooked, take them out of the oven, since the spinach is already hot, it will continue to cook outside until you serve it.

Ingredients for Baked Egg Spinach Recipe

  • 750 g spinach
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 pieces of eggs
  • salt
  • Red pepper


Fabrication:

  1. Chop your spinach that has been cleaned and washed. Chop your onion as well.
  2. Take the chopped onion with olive oil in a medium saucepan. Add salt and fry the onions on medium heat until they turn pink.
  3. Add half of the chopped spinach to the pot and fry.
  4. When the spinach releases its water, add the remaining spinach and fry it until all the spinach releases its juice.
  5. Take the spinach in the baking dish and with the help of a spoon, make 4 cavities in the middle, far from each other.
  6. Crack the eggs into these games.
  7. Bake the eggs in the oven preheated to 200 degrees until the eggs are cooked to the desired consistency.
  8. Serve hot or warm with the addition of paprika.
