This may be the year I ate the most figs in my life :) We couldn't get enough of buying figs from the garden in the summer house and from the neighborhood market in Istanbul. In the past, it would disappear from the market when it rained, but this period we can find it easily.

Since we are in a period when figs are abundant, I wanted a recipe that I wanted to share with you for a long time to take its place on my blog. I love sweet and salty combination cheese plates. For example, when the quince starts, it is cooked like here. quince jelly It is ready and I always keep it on my cheese plates.

The same goes for figs in fig time. Izmir Tulum, Erzincan Tulum or Roquefort cheese are also my favorites in sweet and salty dishes.

There are many different versions of this recipe, but I prefer the most practical version. Roquefort cheese is a cheese with a very intense aroma and dominant taste. It's also almost as soft as butter. If you don't like cheese with such intense flavor, you can try my recipe with goat cheese or a mild flavored tulum cheese.

Ingredients for Baked Roquefort Fresh Figs Recipe

  • 4-5 medium firm black figs
  • 1 slice of roquefort cheese
  • ball
  • fresh or dried rosemary (fresh is better)

How to Make Roquefort Fresh Figs in the Oven Recipe?

  1. Cut off the stems of the figs without going too deep.
  2. Slice it with the help of a knife in the shape of a plus, which will not be too deep so that it does not open too much while cooking.
  3. Gently squeeze from the edges of the cuts to the middle to make the fig open.
  4. Roll the cheese to the size of a marble, either with the help of a teaspoon or with your hand, and place it in the middle of the fig.
  5. When all the leaves are finished, drizzle honey on them with a teaspoon and sprinkle rosemary leaves.
  6. After baking for 200-2 minutes in the oven at 3 degrees, open the grill of the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or cold.
