How to Prepare Chicken Broth at Home? Ingredients for the Recipe
- Pieces of 1 whole chicken (chicken pieces for soup can also be used)
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 3-4 celery stalks
- 1 bay leaf
- 4-5 black peppercorns
- 1 cloves of garlic
- 3 liters of water
How to Prepare Chicken Broth at Home? How To Make The Recipe?
If using chicken wings:
- Wash the chickens and put them in the pot. Add onion, carrot and celery stalks that you wash and chop coarsely.
- Add cold water, spices and garlic until the meat is cooked for 1,5 hours (it will cook slowly, not boiling).
- Strain the chicken broth, cool it and store it in the refrigerator.
If using chicken bones:
- Wash the chickens and put them in the pot. Add enough water to cover it and boil it for 1 hour (optional).
- After draining the first water, add the washed and coarsely chopped onion, carrot and celery stalks on it.
- Add cold water, spices and garlic and strum for 1,5 hours until the meat is cooked (it will cook slowly, not boiling).
- Strain the chicken broth, cool it and store it in the refrigerator.
Important Note: The chicken broth you have prepared can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2-3 days. You can store them in freezer bags for 2-3 months.
