Real Ice Cream with Salep at Home

Hello Dear Friends,

If you miss the real ice cream flavor of our childhood, I have a great recipe for you. Moreover, there is no egg etc. in it, it is very easy to make delicious ice cream with only 3 ingredients.

Salep, milk and sugar, but salep must be pure salep, not a mixture. You can buy 1-2 uses from the herbalist.

I made too much, so I put half of it in the ice cream machine and threw the half in the freezer in a normal container. Since my ice cream machine is old and its container is one of the ones that cooled in the freezer, it was not enough to give the ice cream the consistency I wanted. I put the well-gumped ice cream in the freezer next to the other.

Afterwards, I took the ice cream in both cups out of the fridge every hour and whipped it with a mixer. I even ran it through a hand blender when it got really icy at one point. The result was tremendous texture and flavor.

If there is an ice cream machine, it takes 6 hours, if not, it takes around 10 hours.

I think that the taste settles even more when you listen to it for 1 night. I'm sure everyone in the house will love it. Video recipe will be on my youtube channel as soon as possible.

Ingredients for Real Ice Cream with Salep at Home Recipe

  • 1 heaping tablespoon of pure salep
  • 2 liter milk
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar (can be reduced to half a glass if desired)

How to Make Real Ice Cream with Salep at Home?

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and salep and put it in the pot. Add some of the cold milk on top and whisk.
  2. Add little by little to the remaining milk so that the salep does not clump together.
  3. Cook on medium heat until it thickens. Add powdered sugar to the boiling mixture. Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring.
  4. Remove the cooked mixture from the stove, cool it by stirring occasionally so that it does not stick to cream.
  5. If you have the cooled mixture, put it in the ice cream machine, if not, take it directly into the container where you will store the ice cream and put it in the freezer.
  6. Take it out of the cabinet every hour and run it through the mixer. Repeat this process for 6 to 10 hours and serve when the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.

    Salep is one of the drinks that I really consume a lot during the winter months. Especially in snow, an incredibly delicious drinking style is formed.
