Since I started making potato chips at home, buying chips from the market is not very pleasant. The recipe is so practical that you can easily prepare it half an hour before your friends come or enjoy the cinema.

Of course, there are 1-2 things you should pay attention to. The most important thing is to buy french fries.

You can buy fried potatoes from the market (it is written on the fries), but if you buy potatoes from the market, be sure to tell the seller that you want fried potatoes.

The french fries are thin-skinned and hard. Soft, thick-skinned potatoes do not fry well and absorb oil.

You can easily slice the potatoes thinly with a peeler as in the photo. The thinner it is, the better it will brown.

Another important feature is that you use plenty of oil, and if you have, use a strainer frying pan. You can easily use this pot for french fries and other fries.

You can find frying pans in different sizes and at affordable prices in the market or in the discount markets.

Ingredients for Homemade Potato Chips Recipe

  • 2 medium potatoes (fried)
  • oil (minimum 3 cups)
  • salt

How to Make Potato Chips Recipe at Home?

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes.
  2. Fill a wide and deep bowl with plenty of water, add salt and mix it.
  3. Slice the peeled potatoes thinly with a peeler as in the photo.
  4. Throw the potatoes into the salt water and wash the container by shaking it. Take the starch-free potato in a strainer and strain it.
  5. Heat the oil in the frying pan. Throw the drained potatoes into the hot oil. Fry the potatoes for 1-2 minutes until they turn yellow and hard.
  6. Take the fried chips on a paper towel lined plate and drain the oil. Serve salted.

      If you add the spice before the frying stage, it will not burn well, it may be ideal with yoghurt, but if you add it to the potatoes extracted from curry or other spice mixtures, you can get a different flavor, but try it in a small amount, the taste may not be the same for everyone.
