Hello Dear Friends,

Homemade olives are very popular in our house, especially in the first or second week of November, pickled or crushed olives are prepared from olives. I stopped by Gemlik Armutlu 2 weeks ago after the holiday and collected my olives with my own hands. I collected 2 kilo of green and 1 kilo of black olives, but I enjoyed this work and the olives I prepared :)

Crushed olives ripen faster than others and therefore spoil quickly. Therefore, if you are not crowded, it would be better to prepare 1 kg like me.

When breaking the olive, the splashing water does not stain, so you have to be as careful as possible. I found 2 stones suitable for breaking olives from the beach and prepared them on the balcony of the summer house, but if you want, you can also apply this process with a cutting board and an empty soda bottle.

Coriander is a good alternative to flavor ripe olives. If you want, you can also use thyme balls.

Video Description of the Recipe

Meanwhile, the black olives I prepared are almost ripe. I will write about them as soon as possible.

Currently, olives are sold in markets and markets, the last time I checked, the price was around 5 liras. If there is a chance, I will also make a scratched olive.

Love…

    Miss Nilay,

The pain of my green olives has just passed for a month.
I am constantly changing the water.
All of a sudden, its color is no longer green but brown.
    Is this normal?

    thanks

Hi Burcu, it may be due to the genus. Let me do a search. Yours sincerely
