Hello Dear Friends,

There are few things that give me as much pleasure as practical recipes made in time :) Plums are one of the fruits that bring color to the house towards the end of summer. I had prepared the jam before, and both its consistency and taste were highly appreciated by my readers who tried it. Damson Plum Jam You can find the recipe here.

I like to add cloves or cinnamon to homemade juices and sherbets. In fact, I often use cinnamon and cloves together. This time I only threw 2 cloves of dried cloves, but it was really delicious.

If you like a little sweet like us, 1 glass of granulated sugar is enough. If you want to open a little after cooling, you can increase it from 1,5 to a maximum of 2 liters. So do not add more than 500 ml of water because it spoils the taste.

Plums have a very unique flavor. It also gives a delicious color to the water. Although some strain it with pulp, I do not prepare it this way. It both muddies the water and creates sediment at the bottom of the plum juice.

Tomorrow we will make a delicious plum marmalade with these pulps in just 15 minutes, do not throw away the pulp and stay tuned :)

Love…

To the plum marmalade You can find it here.

Ingredients for Homemade Plum Juice (Plum Juice) Recipe

  • 1 kilo of damson plums
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1,5 liters of water
  • 2 cloves of dried cloves
  • optionally 1 stick of cinnamon

How to Make Homemade Plum Juice (Plum Juice) Recipe?

  1. Wash the plums and strain them.
  2. Cut the drained plums in half with the help of a knife and remove the seeds.
  3. Take the plums in a medium saucepan, add granulated sugar, water, cloves and cinnamon if you are going to use them, and put them in the middle of the stove.
  4. Stir until the sugar dissolves before the water boils (if you stir after the plum starts to cook, the water becomes cloudy) and cook on medium heat for about 25 minutes.
  5. Strain the cooked plums while they are hot with the help of a fine-meshed strainer.
  6. Leave it in the strainer for 5 minutes to allow the plums to drain a little more. (Do not strain the pulp by crushing it so that the water does not become cloudy)
  7. See the recipe for the plum juice, after it cools down to your taste, add some cold water or ice and serve.
