Uzbek pilaf with video

You can use only vegetable oil while preparing this recipe, but I love the taste of olive oil and butter mixture. Make sure to wash your garlic and use it whole if possible. It tastes amazing when cooked. Also, according to what one of my followers wrote before, cumin was added to it, but I didn't want it in this recipe. You can try adding a small amount according to your taste.

Ingredients for Meat and Carrot Pilaf – Uzbek Pilaf Recipe

  • 300 g of cubed meat
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cups of rice
  • 3,5 water glass of water
  • salt

Meat Carrot Pilaf – How to Make Uzbek Pilaf Recipe?

  1. Chop the carrots finely (matches), and the onions finely.
  2. Take the butter and olive oil in the pan. Add the onions and fry until they caramelize.
  3. Add the meat and cook until it releases its water and is browned.
  4. Add the carrots and fry until soft.
  5. Add 3,5 cups of water and cook until the meat is tender.
  6. Add salt, washed and drained rice and 2 heads of garlic, cook on medium heat with the lid closed until the top of the rice is eye-catching.
  7. When the water is gone, turn down the heat, collect the rice from the sides to the middle and cook it on low heat until the water is absorbed.
  8. Remove from the stove, rest and serve.
