Sour plums came from my mother's garden in a bad shape. It wouldn't be good to go without making marmalade while you're at it :) I have many marmalade recipes that you will love to try, from peach, cranberry, strawberry to green zucchini, at this time when winter preparations are starting small :) Just write marmalade in the search box.

How to Make Plum Marmalade (Green Plum) Recipe?

  1. Wash and drain the plums. Put it in a pot with half the water.
  2. Boil for about 10 minutes until the skins of the plums burst and become soft. Drain the plums you take from the stove and set aside the juice.
  3. Crush the plums in a strainer and separate the seeds.
  4. Measure the plum puree, add the same amount of sugar, mix it from time to time and cook until it starts to thicken.
  5. To control the consistency, it is enough to drop 1 drop on the tea plate you have cooled in the refrigerator. If it does not flow easily, it means it has a consistency.
  6. Add lemon juice to your thickened marmalade. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring, and remove from the heat.
  7. Close the lids of your marmalade you bought in a hot jar and keep it.
