Apple Linden Tea

There has been an incredible weather in Istanbul for the last 3 days. I try to avoid going out as much as possible. I hardly even went to the diploma dinner held in Culinary on Monday evening. It took me 50 minutes to find a taxi to go to Taksim. As I waited in that cold, I started to show mild signs of illness.

fruit tea

Since my stomach is not very suitable for taking medication these days, I decided to resort to natural remedies.

Whenever we have a cold or upset stomach, the only thing we turn to is linden. For some reason, since my childhood, I do not like the direct smell of linden and sage, I do not even pass by the kitchen door while it is boiling.

Of course, it is not right to be deprived of a source of healing because of this. I came up with a solution that both suits my taste and smells good.

I started to enjoy drinking linden when I boiled it with the fruits at home. It's been pretty good for my head and throat, which has been hurting for 2 days.

I also started to prepare quince sage as a different winter tea. I will share its recipe with you tomorrow.

Love…

Ingredients for Apple Linden Tea Recipe

  • 3 small apples
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 linden tea bags or 1 handful of linden tea

How to Make Apple Linden Tea Recipe?

  1. Wash the apples, cut them into 2 parts, stick the cloves inside. If the apples are large, chop 2 apples to the size you want and follow the same process.
  2. Put the cinnamon, cloves and apples in a small saucepan, add 4 glasses of water and bring to a boil.
  3. When the water in the pot boils, reduce the heat and strum for 5 minutes. When the apples, cinnamon and cloves smell well, throw the linden bags into the water.
  4. Take the pot off the stove and wait for the tea to brew for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain and sweeten the tea you bought into the cups with honey and serve.

The smell of apple tea is very pleasant. I haven't tried it with linden, but it looks very nice.

I met you while hunting cast iron, I couldn't break even further, the photos and recipes are super. The recipe that didn't work out made me sad, I tried three recipes, all three were great, I congratulate you on your graduation and wish you continued sharing.

It is not possible for me to reach these mugs, they are not available in the city I am in. I have sent word all over the place. I wonder what the price is in case someone finds it and buys it, if you don't get me wrong, if you don't get it wrong, was it mica or glass, was there any other color? I wish I could blog about the kitchen as a person, I congratulate you… thank you…

Damla, hello, I bought it towards the end of summer, unfortunately I don't remember the price (if it was too expensive, I wouldn't have bought 4 :) . The glass is glass and designer work, I think it was produced in a single color white.

It's good that you produced such a solution. For the sake of healing, get well soon. In fact, it wouldn't be bad if we drink the cold of this kind of tea in the summer. I love the photo :)

Hello, Ms. Nilay :) I am a 16-year-old high school student. While I was browsing your blog yesterday, I had to try the recipes. I got up and tried 2 recipes. He kept it exactly. Then I realized that I have a lot of fun making pastries. I am a quick giver. If the first recipe I tried didn't work and it wasn't really liked, I wouldn't go to the kitchen again easily :) I owe a debt of gratitude THANKS :)

Thank you Yasemincim :) I missed it too, even if I work all day and faint from exhaustion, when I don't write on kitchen secrets, it feels like I haven't done anything. It's good that school is over :)
