Hello Dear Friends,

After a short but full holiday, I am at home and at my computer again. This time our journey started in Dalaman and extended to Datça. In the last 2 days, we went to explore Muğla, but we prepared something at home and took our picnic basket with us :)

We took a break and enjoyed the places we liked the view :) Of course, this pastry came out of my aunt's hands especially for breakfast, I photographed it while making it step by step. Normally, it is completely prepared by eye, but this time we kneaded the dough by measuring all the ingredients for you.

The size of the pastry dough may vary slightly due to the flour or egg used, but the consistency will be more or less the same. You should definitely rest the meringues for a while for easy opening.

The oil between the dough layers makes it crunchy, so don't forget to lubricate each layer.
Love…

How to Make Handmade Meat Pie Recipe?

  1. For the stuffing, chop the onion for meals, take 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the pan. Add the onion and sauté until it turns pink.
  2. Add the minced meat and sauté until it releases its water. Add salt and pepper to flavor it and remove from the stove.
  3. For the dough, take all the ingredients except the flour into the kneading bowl. Mix with your hands and start kneading by adding 2,5 water glasses of flour to the bowl. In order to obtain a hard dough that does not stick to the hand, add half a glass of flour gradually and knead.
  4. When the dough comes together, take it to the kitchen counter and knead for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Divide the kneaded dough into 12 equal parts and roll them with your hands. Cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Open a meringue on the floured counter to the size of a dessert plate. Spread the melted butter & oil mixture on it.
  7. Do the same for the second meringue, put it on the first meringue you oiled. Do the same for the 3rd meringue. Open the last meringue in the same way and put it on the meringues you have opened (this meringue will not be oiled).
  8. We need to create 4 dough groups with 3 layers in total, so open the remaining 8 dough in the same way and set aside. (The reason we opened them all and set them aside is that the oil we put between them freezes a little)
  9. Open the first 4 dough group that you prepared and put on top of each other in the size of the tray you will use on the floured counter.
  10. Divide the dough lengthwise into two parts, put the batter from the dough on the wide part of the dough as in the photo.
  11. Roll the dough and nose lightly. Put it in the middle of the greased tray by wrapping it like a rose pastry, apply the same process to the other doughs and place them on the tray. Spread the melted butter on it.
  12. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes until golden brown. Serve by slicing.

I haven't tried it but it looks nice.. thanks for your hands. I saw a lot of people doing it, but they were making it with ready-made dough. I think the boulesi would be better.

hello, good luck. The ingredients are just like my late mother did. so you have milk, yoghurt etc. none. What I want to ask is, can I open 12 meringues separately and make puff pastry with this dough? thanks

As soon as I saw your photo on ig.de, I decided to try it. Let's see if I can catch the flavor of my childhood. Only my grandmother never used butter, we are originally from Milas, we have plenty of olive oil. Of course, I cannot deny the taste that butter adds to the pastries.
    Good luck to you!
