Hello Dear Friends,

Sour yeast It's been 7 years since we started our adventure. We have prepared many recipes from pastry, cake, Ramadan pita to easy bread, and we did not even have the opportunity to share most of them. Since we regularly feed our yeast and bake bread, we have the chance to experiment a lot. This time I decided to prepare a different recipe than the others.

It makes a great dough without kneading and adding. The only important thing is to give it time to ferment.

Ingredients for Sourdough Cinnamon Roll Bun Recipe

For the Sourdough Donut Dough:

  • 150 g sourdough (fed 1 day ago)
  • 1 water glass of water
  • 1 pieces of eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 2 tea spoon salt
  • 1 spoonful butter
  • 480 gr flour (4 cups flour)

For the cinnamon filling:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 spoonful butter
  • 3 tablespoons of crushed walnuts

How to Make Sourdough Cinnamon Roll Bun Recipe?

  1. Put warm water, yeast and granulated sugar into the kneading bowl.
    mix on low speed.
  2. Add egg, salt and butter to the yeast mixture.
    mix.
  3. Add the flour in a glass and knead at medium speed.
  4. Place the collected dough into a deep bowl.
    and cover it with stretch film and let it rest for 4 hours to ferment.
  5. While the dough is resting, prepare all the ingredients required for the filling.
    mix and set aside.
  6. Roll out the rested dough to 1 cm thick, sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Apply the mixture and roll it.
  7. Slice the roll you prepared until it is 3 fingers thick.
    and place it in a square baking dish lined with greaseproof paper.
    Cover and rest for 4 hours.
  8. Place the dough in a preheated oven at 200 degrees
    Bake for about 20-22 minutes until golden brown and the candies caramelize.
  9. Hot with fresh cream cheese or labneh upon request.
    serve.
