Hello Dear Friends,

How long have I been wanting to share with you the recipe for the colorful and delicious fried dough, namely donuts, which have been in our dreams in recent years? It's a little heavy for me when I eat donuts outside, but I can say that we can't get enough of this recipe that I learned while going to professional pastry school and started to prepare at home :)

The dough comes together very quickly and is almost hard, but if you keep kneading, you will notice that it becomes silky. When you leave it to ferment, it rises almost 2,5 times. After the dough has degassed, open it on a lightly floured counter and fry it without waiting.


The dough does not absorb oil in deep fat and browns very quickly, so you can use a small saucepan to not waste too much oil.


You can use milk or white chocolate for donut decoration.

Donut – Ingredients for Donut Recipe

  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 pack of instant yeast (10 g)
  • 25 gr granulated sugar
  • 75 g milk
  • 250 g flour
  • 40 g butter

For the top coat:

  • 150 g dark couverture chocolate
  • cake sugar

Donut – How to Make Donut Recipe?

  1. Mix eggs, milk, sugar and yeast in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the flour and knead until the dough comes together slightly.
  3. Add the melted butter and knead for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Leave the gathered dough to rise for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Roll out the fermented dough a little less than 1 cm and cut it into circles with a dough cutter. Make holes in the middle with a smaller chisel.
  6. Put enough oil to fill a quarter of the pot in a small saucepan and heat it.
  7. Fry donuts in hot oil in 3-4 pieces. Take the fried donuts on a plate lined with paper towels.
  8. Dip it lightly in the melted chocolate and garnish with sugar.
