Ingredients for the Ice Cream Damascus Dessert Recipe

  • 1 glass of yogurt (160gr), half a glass of flour,
  • 1 glass of semolina (150 gr), 1 glass of granulated sugar,
  • 50 g almonds (1 coffee cup),
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • Carte d'Or Gummy Custard Ice Cream (2 scoops)

For sherbet:

  • 2,5 glasses of granulated sugar (425 g), 2 glasses of water (400ml)
  • 2 drops of lemon juice, rose water.

How to Make Damascus Dessert with Ice Cream?

  1. For sherbet, put 2 glasses of water and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Let it boil.
  3. When it starts to thicken, add lemon juice and rose water, mix and leave to cool.
  4. Mix yoghurt, semolina, sugar and baking powder to form a dough like slurry.
  5. Be careful not to spread.
  6. Grease a rectangular baking dish.
  7. Lightly burn the oil over the fire so that it smells like oil.
  8. Pour the dough. Put the almonds in hot water, drain and peel off their skins.
  9. After placing the almonds at intervals, bake them in your oven heated to 200 C until they turn pink.
  10. Pour the cold syrup over the hot dessert and keep it covered.
  11. When cool, cut fingers and serve with Carte d'Or Gummy Custard Ice Cream.
  12. Optionally, you can add caramel sauce.
