Crumb Pie (Crumble)
The definition of Crumble, that is, crumb pie, goes as follows in Larousse Gastronomique. An English specialty made with apples covered with chunks of dough.
The important thing here is that the dough you prepare is as light as crumbs, so we definitely do not knead the dough. If we knead, the butter melts and becomes runny because of the warmth of our hands. This means that it takes more flour than it should and when it is baked, it becomes like concrete.
If you prepare this dessert, which is very practical, according to the tricks I have given, you can prepare a perfect summer dessert in almost 1 hour without any trouble.
Also, if you think that I will melt this butter because of the hot weather, you can grind the dough mixture in the food processor until it becomes lumpy and make your work even easier.
I'm thinking of making a red fruit version in the coming days.

For the apple part:
- 500 g apples (must be green and firm)
- Half a glass of granulated sugar (powdered sugar if you do not want it to be crunchy)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
For the crumb dough:

How to Make Crumb Pie (Crumble) Recipe?
- Mix the flour, butter, granulated sugar in a bowl. Take some of the mixture in your palm. Crumble the mixture by rubbing (without crushing) both hands together. Do this quickly so that the mixture turns into crumbs before the butter melts.
- Put the prepared crumbs in the refrigerator to cool.
- Chop the apples to the size of backgammon dice. Add hazelnuts, sugar and cinnamon into it, mix, and spread in the baking dish.
- Pour the cooled crumbs to cover it and smooth it out by pressing lightly with your hand. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
- Slice the baked pie and decorate with caramel sauce. Serve with 1 scoop of ice cream.
