I wanted to start the week with a recipe that I especially like, along with grilled meat dishes and pasta. A flavor that you can easily cook without adding any water thanks to low-fat tomatoes and mushrooms. Thanks to the capia pepper, which is now in its sweetest time, I think it is as sweet as sugar :)

I usually prefer sweet white onions when cooking, but you can use whatever you have at home or according to your taste.

Well, let's get to that obvious question...

How to clean mushrooms?

I clean the mushrooms by wiping them thoroughly with a damp towel paper after I rinse them with water so that they do not spoil their flavor too much. When I say that it does not spoil the taste, what I mean is that it does not absorb water. The more water you hold, the more water it absorbs, like a sponge you know.

If you wash it quickly and wipe it with a towel, you will see that it is clean. Also, leave the washing process for the last time so that it does not darken. So first chop the onion, tomato and pepper and set them aside.

If you make such preliminary preparations in each recipe, you will realize that it takes less time and you can easily make your meal without messing up. The preparation of materials is a great savior, especially for messy workers in the kitchen.

Ingredients for Tomato Pepper Mushroom Saute Recipe

  • 1 package of cultivated mushrooms (400 g package)
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 1 large capia pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • dill

How To Make Tomato Pepper Mushroom Saute Recipe?

  1. Chop the onion into small pieces. Cut the capia pepper lengthwise into 2 parts, remove the seeds and chop finely.
  2. Finely dice the tomatoes. Finely chop the garlic.
  3. Rinse the mushrooms last, wipe them and cut them into 2-4 parts according to their size.
  4. Put the olive oil and onion in the pan, add some salt and sauté until the onions become transparent.
  5. Add the pepper and sauté for 1-2 minutes until the peppers soften.
  6. Add the mushrooms and sauté until they release their juices and shrink slightly.
  7. Add garlic, tomatoes and a little more salt and cook on medium heat until the tomatoes are cooked.
  8. When you turn off the stove, sprinkle chopped dill on top and serve.
