Whenever I think of summer, the first thing that comes to my mind is fried peppers with tomato sauce. The delicious combination of village pepper and ripe tomatoes gets me.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, that is, whatever it is, comes to the table until the frying is finished, and it is eaten with bread dipped in water.

summer recipes

It is true that I envy those who like pepper hot and can eat it :) But I usually prefer to use charliston, and if I can find it, I prefer to use village pepper in such recipes.

Village peppers and tomatoes are from Altınoluk Village Market, of course, and the trick of the recipe is from dear Aunt Melek.

The kitchen secret of frying peppers is to add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to the sauce if you want it to be sharper. I ask your permission to go out of business by saying that you should not be missing pepper fries from your summer tables.

How to Make Frying Peppers with Tomato Sauce Recipe?

  1. Wash and dry the peppers. Make a hole in the middle of the pepper with the help of a knife.
  2. Fry the peppers in plenty of oil and lightly salt them on a plate lined with a napkin to absorb the oil.
  3. Peel and chop the tomatoes and garlic.
  4. Take 2-3 spoons of olive oil or oil left over from frying in the pan. Saute the garlic 1-2 times, add the tomatoes and vinegar and cook until the tomatoes soften and thicken.
  5. Take the peppers with drained oil on a serving plate, pour the sauce on them, let them rest for a while and serve.
