Ingredients for Brewed Pasta – Summer Pasta with Tomatoes

  • 4-5 medium tomatoes
  • Half of 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 green pepper optional
  • 1 spoonful butter
  • 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Half a pack of pasta
  • Su

How To?

  1. Peel and dice the tomatoes. Finely chop the onion and green peppers if using.
  2. Heat the oil in the pan where you will cook the pasta, add the onion and fry it. Add the pepper and garlic and continue frying, add the tomato paste and fry until the smell is gone.
  3. Add the tomatoes and salt and fry until the tomatoes are slightly melted.
  4. Add the pasta to the tomato sauce and cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add enough hot water to cover the pasta by 1 finger and let it cook with the lid of the pot open.
  6. Cook on low heat, stirring from time to time, until the pasta water is absorbed and the sauce is thick. Cover the pot and let it brew for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve the infused tomato pasta with plain or grated cheddar cheese.
