Ingredients for the Butter Seeds Recipe

  • Half a kilo of cottage cheese
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 bunch of fresh mint
  • 1 fresh red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 small glass of olive oil
  • salt.
  • greaseproof paper

For the dough:

  • half a kilo of flour
  • a packet of yeast
  • 1 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • Salt
  • Water as much as flour takes (earlobe-like dough will be)

How to Make a Butter Sekk Recipe?

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the dough and make it into an earlobe consistency.
  2. Wait for it to ferment.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the oil and fry the chopped onion in it.
  4. Add the chopped mint and parsley and continue frying. Add the curd, paprika and red pepper and mix.
  5. Add salt and remove from the stove.
  6. Take a piece of dough larger than a walnut and thin it with a rolling pin, put the dough you prepared in the middle, fold the edges of the dough by 1 cm. To make it long like a pita, stretch it by holding the edges and pulling it lightly.
  7. Put greaseproof paper on the tray and place the semseks on the tray and bake at 175 degrees for about half an hour until the dough is cooked and puffed up.

ENJOY... In fact, this recipe belongs to Kilis and Gaziantep regions. They call pide semsek. And the ladies just prepare the stuffing and have the roads baked in the bread oven in the streets and come. Of course, it will taste better, but I do not have such an opportunity here. I also found the solution to cook it in a home oven. I love cottage cheese, try it, it's a very delicious and light dish.

Hello, I would like to thank you especially for specifying our region, my father also prepares semsek very well, we eat it with pleasure :)
It is also a good alternative for guests, both in the mood for food and bakery products.
