Coffee Bean Cookie (Turkish Coffee Cookie)
Hello Dear Friends,
The last recipe of my cookie week is coffee bean shaped coffee cookies. This week I decided to go over a certain topic and entertain myself. I had fun and actively rested. At the end of this study, Intense Chocolate Chip Cookies, Kavala Cookies and our new recipe has been shared with you.
The consistency of our coffee cookies is perfect… At first, if you want to add a little more oil or even liquid, you will make the cookies hard like cotton. As you knead the dough, the butter dough spread by the heat of your hand comes together and a smooth dough emerges.
I baked the cookies for 15 minutes, when I took them out of the oven, they were slightly soft on the top and slightly moist inside. The cookie shrinks as it cools on the tray. It turns out 24-25 cookies in the weight or size I gave.
Finally, the taste of coffee is not very dominant, you can try it with more aromatic coffees if you want, or you can add spices such as cardamom and cinnamon.
Have a pleasant weekend.
Love…
Ingredients for Coffee Bean Cookies (Turkish Coffee Cookies) Recipe
- 1 eggs (large)
- 125 g butter (at room temperature)
- 1 glass of Powdered Sugar (120 g)
- 2 cups of flour (210 g)
- Half a glass of starch (50 g)
- 2 heaping teaspoons of Turkish coffee (6 gr)
- 2 heaped teaspoons of cocoa (8 g)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder (4 g)
- 1 teaspoon of vanillin (4 g)
Fabrication:
- Take the flour, powdered sugar and starch into a deep mixing bowl.
- Add Turkish coffee, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla to it and mix it with your hands.
- Add 1 egg and butter to the mixing bowl and knead until the dough comes together.
- In the dough that comes together, break off a little bit smaller than walnuts (about 22-25 gr).
- Place the cookies, which you have rounded in your hands and shaped into ovals, on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper at 2-3 cm intervals.
- Using a skewer, toothpick or knife edge, press the cookies to make a longitudinal line.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-17 minutes.
- Let it rest on the tray until it comes to room temperature and serve.
The eaters thought they were ready. I wanted to add while navigating the recipes. Every recipe is worth it. Well done Nilay Chef
Questi deliziosi biscotti si fanno anche in Italia e si chiamano “chicchi di caffè”…i tuoi sono bellissimi!! *-*
Is it okay if we don't use greaseproof paper?
There is a possibility of sticking. It will be better if you use it. Yours sincerely
If we use powdered sugar instead of powdered sugar, how much powdered sugar will we need?
You can use the same amount. Love :)
hello, mine has spread a lot, I wonder if it will be better when I let it rest in the fridge
The weather is very hot and if you did not use gram measurements, it may spread. The best is to let your dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes, shape it quickly and cook it. Yours sincerely
what kind of person are you
Cookies are in the Bake now but I realized I forgot to put the baking powder
Can I use margarine instead of butter?
It can spread. Butter is better.
Hello. If I make it today, will they be stale tomorrow? Or will it stay the same freshness?
It maintains its freshness for up to 1 week in an airtight container. Yours sincerely
I've always tried your recipes with confidence. Oops, let me eat another one. I couldn't get enough of my coffee beans.
They became my fabulous favorites, their dispersion in the mouth, especially the smell, I waited impatiently for iftar today
mrb image is great, i will try it at the first opportunity, how do i give the shapes for this recipe to be equal. do you have a pattern or suggest an idea?
There is no mold, the most practical solution for them to be a threshold is weighing. If you have a kitchen scale, you can adjust its weight.
I was wondering what to do with all the Turkish coffee in the house…
Does it matter with which starch we should do it?
It doesn't matter. Yours sincerely
Neither more nor less, this recipe is perfect. If you apply exactly what is written in the recipe, you will get a cookie with a unique coffee flavor that melts in your mouth. Ms. Nilay, this is a great taste, as with many of them...
Hello,
I tried this beautiful cookie last night, it was really choppy and we got a very nice taste. First of all, thank you very much for the recipe. only 6 teaspoons of coffee, which is given as 2 gr in the recipe, only 1 teaspoon 5 gr came in my measurements. I adjusted my eyes and the result was good, but I still wonder if I did not understand the amount in the recipe or if there is a deficiency, I would be glad if you could provide information. thanks….
Hands down, it was amazing. I also thank “ametist” because I had to add yogurt too. I added spoonfuls according to the consistency so that it would not spoil the yogurt consistency. I think 4 spoons is enough for it to get thick. It was also as smooth and pleasant as you wrote.
Thanks again…
Hello, I wonder if I can make it with instant coffee instead of Turkish coffee, I would appreciate it if you let me know, thanks in advance.
You can use it, but the flavor will not be the same. Yours sincerely
you have done wonders again, well done :)
Dear colleague, they look amazing!!! I definitely have to try it, I'm thinking of adding cardamom to it… What do you think??? :)
Health to your hands…
Hello,
First of all, it's a great recipe for your hands.
I tried it yesterday, it tasted very good, but my cookies spread :( I don't understand why it happened.
Is it because I run my oven without a fan or is it the brand of baking powder I use?
It's interesting. They don't stay ball like they did in the first place anyway. As seen during the construction stages, they spread and grow, but they do not go out. That's why I wrote to leave space between the cookies. Yours sincerely
As someone who loves coffee, I tried it right away. Its aroma is very nice... I added a tea glass of yoghurt to it. Then it was collected in its full consistency…
Hello, first of all thanks :) Sometimes even the ambient temperature, the brand of the oil, etc. affects it. Yogurt is a good solution, you can also use egg whites instead of yoghurt.
Hello,
First of all, I would like to say good luck to your hands.
I really like your recipes and I will try them as soon as possible.
I'm going to buy an oven for my new marriage, it is very important for cooking as well as making such beautiful things, which brand oven would you recommend for me? I beg you very much, I am unbelievably undecided.. If you answer, you will really put me at ease.
My love and regards.
Thank you….

Hello Reyhan, I am currently using a built-in oven from the Luce series of Hotpoint. I was very satisfied. Yours sincerely
Do these ingredients come to a consistency with just eggs and butter, or do we add water?
I explained it in the front post. No liquid is added, except for eggs and oil.
Oyy oyy oyy looks great, I'm putting it on the 1st line of my to-do list at the first opportunity...
Do the cookies swell when cooked or do they stay the same size?
It swells.
Are the cookies the same size as in the picture or are they smaller but larger in the picture?
The cookies are the size of a walnut.
Just when I was looking for a recipe with Turkish Coffee, this seemed like a medicine :) I'm just asking something, what if we put 1 spoon of cocoa and 3 spoons of coffee? I wonder if it would work for a more intense coffee flavor.
It's super :) There will be a difference, the color will come out lighter, but 1 spoon of cocoa added to the cookie may not affect the consistency much.
