Hello Dear Friends,

When I received half a loaf of village bread that I hid in the freezer yesterday, the world became mine :) This is a method that has been used in all of us since childhood to evaluate stale bread. It is also better than normal bread or toasted bread, but the bread gets a little dry while the mortar on it is browned. For this reason, sourdough or village breads from the oven are more suitable for this recipe.

last evening fish cakeI prepared a practical menu consisting of potatoes and salad. Next to it, I prepared freshly spiced breads with garlic in the oven. I threw the remaining slices of bread into the refrigerator again and prepared practical crispy breads with the ingredients in the cupboard in the morning.

You can use butter or olive oil for the mortar you will apply on the bread. If desired, you can chop the remaining slices of salami or ham and mix them with cheese and bake in this way.

Fresh thyme as well as parsley and dill go very well with feta cheese. If you want, you can flavor some of the bread with white cheese and some with fresh cheddar cheese. Rosemary really suits breads with fresh cheddar cheese. It's all up to your taste. :)

Love…

For the white cheese breads:

  • 100 g of feta cheese
  • 1 pieces of green pepper
  • 2 sprig of fresh thyme

For the Cheddar Cheese Breads:

  • 100 g fresh cheddar
  • 3 slices of salami
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary

To spread on the bottom of the breads:

  • 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon of pepper paste

How to Make Crispy Bread Slices Recipe?

  1. Slice the breads 1,5-2 cm thick. Mix tomato paste and olive oil, brush it on the bread and place the slices on the baking tray.
  2. Grate the feta cheese, finely chop the green pepper. Separate the thyme from the stems and mix them in a small bowl. Sprinkle this mixture on 3 slices of bread.
  3. Grate the cheddar cheese and finely chop the salami slices. Separate the rosemary leaves from the stems and mix all the ingredients in a small bowl. Divide this mixture among the remaining 3 slices.
  4. Set the grill of the oven to the highest temperature (ours is 250 degrees) and place the tray in the oven you heated. Bake until cheese is melted and brown and serve hot.

hello nilay, your recipes are all very good, everything I have made is very good, I love your chicken with pesto sauce, garlic bread crumbs in the oven, the result is great, I will make crispy breads at the first opportunity. Is it okay if we add the mortar on it after sorting it? to make the bread slices a little softer, thank you for your nice recipes and nice comments

MY HANDS ARE HEALTHY. MY MOTHERS formerly made eggs, but they didn't butter the bread, so I butter the bread and I don't put eggs in my mortar.
