Strawberry Rustic Tart – Ingredients for Strawberry Galette Recipe

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 large egg (without the yolk from the white to the dough)
  • 100 g cold butter
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cold water
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 7-8 large strawberries

Strawberry Rustic Tart – How to Make Strawberry Galette Recipe?

  1. Take the flour on a tray or on the kitchen counter, add the cubed cold butter and powdered sugar and knead with your fingertips until the whole mixture is like sand.
  2. Add 1 egg yolk and 3 tablespoons of cold water to the flour mixture, which is like sand, and start kneading. Add 1-2 more tablespoons of water if needed until it comes together.
  3. Take the dough on the counter and knead it lightly in your hand, collect it and roll it out with the help of a rolling pin on wax paper.
  4. Carefully unroll the dough to 1-1,5 cm thickness without tearing or breaking it and place it on a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  5. Take the sliced ​​strawberries in the middle of the dough and spread them until 3 fingers are left on the edges of the dough. Carefully fold the empty edges on the strawberries.
  6. Brush the egg white on the edges with a brush and sprinkle with almonds.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the edges are browned (approximately 30 minutes).
  8. Take the baked tart from the oven with oiled paper and drizzle honey on it. Serve warm or cold.
