Güllaç Balls with Strawberry Sauce and Caramelized Apples
The other day, while I was thinking about what I can do with inedible apples at home, I decided to write to my friends on FF and get ideas from them. The most beautiful of the ideas was the one about Güllaç. It was incredibly enjoyable to create a new generation gullaç recipe by lightly caramelizing the apples :)
This is a flavor that pioneers the different Güllaç recipes I will prepare. The only difficult part is to get the Güllaç into the small bowl without tearing it, but if it is torn, you can use the torn leaves little by little and lay them in the bowl.
Classic Güllaç recipe You can find it here. Thanks to all friends who contributed to the recipe…
Ingredients for Güllaç Balls with Strawberry Sauce and Caramelized Apples
2 gullac leaves
3 medium apples
4 tablespoon of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 water glass milk
For the sauce:
1 pack of instant fruit sauce
2 tea glass of water
For decoration:
Filet almonds or pistachios
How to Make Güllaç Balls with Strawberry Sauce with Caramelized Apples?
1- Grate the peeled apples and put them in a Teflon pan.
2- Add the granulated sugar and cinnamon on the apples, cook on medium heat by stirring until the water evaporates.
3- Remove the cooked apples from the stove and let them cool.
4- Wet the Güllaç leaves in a large tray and divide them into 4 parts. Put the wet Güllaç leaves in a small bowl, leaving the edges out.
5- Put 1 tablespoon of the apple cross you prepared into the gullaç leaf and close the pieces you hung on the side on the apples.
6- Invert the bowl onto a wide tray (this will make small balls as in the photo).
7- When all the leaves are finished, prepare the sauce according to the recipe on the package and drizzle it over the gullaç balls you have lined up side by side.
8- Let the Güllaç rest in the refrigerator so that it absorbs itself and the sauce thickens. Serve garnished with almonds or pistachios.
