When the weather is cold and depressing, my mind goes to desserts. As you know, I've been traveling at the speed of light lately and I've been working extra hard, so I can't hang out in the kitchen too much except for work.

Half of my day is gone when I say prepare the meals, shoot the shots, and edit the notes on the computer. I can't tell you the remaining half of it :) Anyway, today I didn't want to leave the house without sharing my favorite practical and energizing recipe with you.

Ingredients for Chocolate Banana Pancakes Recipe

  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cups of flour (100 g)
  • 1 cup + quarter cup of milk (250 ml)
  • 2 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa (30 g)
  • Butter or spray oil to grease the pan

For Filling:

  • pastry cream
  • 2-3 medium bananas


For the above:

  • Chocolate Sauce
  • chocolate drops


  1. Lightly whisk the eggs in a deep bowl.
  2. Add milk, flour, cocoa, granulated sugar and salt and continue whisking.
  3. Set aside the dough that has a flowing and smooth consistency.
  4. Heat a Teflon pan and lightly oil it.
  5. Pour half a scoop of the pancake batter into the heated pan.
  6. Spread the dough with the back of the ladle. Turn the other side of the crepe with eye to eye.
  7. Cook for another 15-20 seconds and transfer to a flat plate.
  8. When all the crepes are cooked, fold them in 4. Fill it with banana slices and whipped cream cream and place on a serving plate.
  9. Squeeze the remaining cream on it and serve with chocolate sauce sprinkled with chocolate chips.
