To make these cakes, you just need to make a simple sponge cake. You can prepare the sponge cake on a medium sized baking tray. The most important trick that you should pay attention to is to lay a greaseproof paper on the tray and not to roll the sponge cake dough too thin.

It will be enough to spread the dough on the tray with a thickness of half a centimeter. Also, be careful to spread it evenly, because thin parts will be cooked early, so they will be crunchy and break without cutting.

When it comes to choosing chocolate, it would be very good if you use dark custard because it melts quickly thanks to its high fat content, and it will make your work easier because it will freeze quickly while you wait.


Sometimes there are questions about how we can find ready-made chocolate sauce. Ready-made chocolate sauce does not give such an appearance. You know, when cut or bitten, it doesn't give that chocolate layer that crackles and it flows. Ingredients for Chocolate Mini Heart Cakes Recipe

  • 1 egg (medium size)
  • 1 tea glass of granulated sugar
  • 1 tea glass of milk
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 1 water glass flour
  • 2 soup spoons of cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 drops of vanilla flavoring

For between:

  • 1 pack of whipped cream (powder)
  • 1 cup of Turkish coffee with milk

For the above:

  • Dark Cuverture Chocolate
  • White Couverture chocolate for streaks upon request

How To Make Chocolate Mini Heart Cakes Recipe?

  1. Take the room temperature butter into the bowl of your mixer. Add powdered sugar and beat until creamy.
  2. Add the egg to the mixture and continue beating. Once it is completely mixed, add the room temperature milk again and swirl 1-2 turns.
  3. Add the flour, cocoa and baking powder you sifted together into the bowl and whisk. After adding the vanilla flavor, spread the mixture with the help of a spatula on the baking tray on which you have greased paper.
  4. Bake in the oven preheated to 160 degrees for 10-11 minutes.
  5. Take the cooked sponge cake with its paper on the kitchen counter covered with a damp cloth.
  6. Cut 22 pieces with a not-too-large heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  7. For the inner cream, whisk the powdered whipped cream with cold milk. Take the whipped cream you have prepared into a squeezing bag with a fine tip and squeeze it without overflowing 11 hearts. Place the remaining 11 pieces on the bases on which you have squeezed the cream and press lightly.
  8. Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
  9. Pour the melted chocolate over the tiny heart cakes you bought on the wire rack. With the help of a spatula, ensure that the cakes are covered with chocolate on all sides and leave for 10-15 minutes for the chocolate to set.
  10. If desired, melt the white chocolate into thin lines and serve when the white chocolate is frozen.
