Ingredients for Flower Bread (Full Measure) Recipe

  • 1 pack of instant yeast (10 g)
  • 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar (10 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (5 g)
  • 2 glasses of warm water (400 ml) 
  • 5,5 cups of flour (600 g)
  • Half a teaspoon of butter (50 g, melted, warm)

For the above:

  • Nigella sativa, blue poppy, kernel
  • 1 egg yolk

How to Make Flower Bread (Full Measured) Recipe?

  1. Put the yeast and sugar in a mixing bowl, add warm water, mix and wait for it to foam for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add 2 cups of flour, salt and butter and mix.
  3. If you are going to mix in the mixer, add the remaining 3,5 cups of flour and knead for 5-6 minutes at low speed and then at high speed. In the case of hand kneading, add the remaining flour little by little to the dough and knead.
  4. Gather the dough you prepared, cover it with cling film and let it rest for 30 minutes. (Dough should double)
  5. Divide the fermented dough into meringues and roll them on a lightly floured counter.
  6. On a 26-28 cm tray, arrange the meringues in the form of flowers 1-2 cm apart, cover them and leave to ferment for another 10 minutes.
  7. Brush egg yolk on your fermented and combined dough and sprinkle with black cumin seeds, seeds and poppy.
  8. Bake in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees and filled with boiling water in a bowl, for 12-15 minutes until completely browned.
