Cevizpare (Sevizli Pare with Walnut)

Release Date: 18-09-2009

You can add a new dessert to the desserts you plan to make for Eid al-Fitr… I ate Cevizpare for the first time at my mother-in-law and I liked it very much. Its appearance impressed me as much as its taste. You can surprise your guests by presenting this dessert after a practical menu you will prepare for the holiday.

sweet sherbet

If you don't want your candy pare to be cracked (which I love to look cracked), let your candy pares rest for a few minutes after coming out of the oven. Since the dessert is very slightly warmed, it will not crack much.

How to Make Cevizpare (Sekerpare with Walnut) Recipe?

  1. Put all the ingredients to be used for the syrup in the pot and cook it on high heat, stirring, until all the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add lemon juice 2-3 minutes before taking the sherbet from the stove and leave it to cool.
  3. Take room temperature margarine or butter, baking powder, granulated sugar, whole 3 eggs, 1 egg white, walnut kernel, vanillin and flour into a mixing bowl.
  4. Knead until it reaches the consistency of an earlobe.
  5. Rest for 5-10 minutes for the dough to come together. Cut pieces larger than walnuts and shape them and place them on the baking tray.
  6. Brush them with eggs and bake them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees until they are like a pomegranate.
  7. Pour the cooled syrup over the hot desserts you have taken out of the oven. Serve when the syrup is done.
