Ingredients for Walnut Stew Recipe

  • 1 cup of barren bulgur (fine bulgur)
  • 1,5 cups of boiling water
  • 1 onion
  • parsley
  • 3-4 fresh onions
  • 1 tablespoon of dried mint
  • 1 cup of ground walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon of pepper paste
  • half a teaspoon of olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoon pomegranate juice
  • walnut kernels for garnish

How to Make Walnut Stew Recipe?

  1. Finely dice the tomatoes. Finely chop 2 leaves of lettuce, spring onions.
  2. Put all the olive oil and the chopped onion in the pot, add salt and tomato paste and fry for 2-3 minutes until it turns pink.
  3. Remove the cooked onion and tomato paste from the stove. Add bulgur and boiled water to the same pot, close the lid and wait for it to swell.
  4. When the bulgur is swollen, add the onion, mint, tomato, parsley, walnut, oil, lemon juice and pomegranate syrup and mix well.
  5. Put the 2 lettuce leaves you have reserved on the serving plate, spread the cucumber on it and decorate the top with lemon slices and walnut kernels.
  6. Serve warm or cold.
