Cacik is one of our favorite appetizers as Turkish people. When summer comes, it is almost indispensable for your tables. But, as in everything else, there is an etiquette in making tzatziki. Its consistency should be thick, first of all, it should be rested in the fridge and the taste of garlic should spread throughout.

yoghurt

It should attract the eye with its green a little bit, this is why cucumbers are peeled in variegated colors. And it must be as cold as ice. I have a lot of appetizer recipes for you today, enjoy your meal in advance!

Ingredients for Cacik Recipe

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 2 glasses of yoghurt
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • optional dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon salt (add to taste)
  • 1,5 cups of cold water (add little by little to adjust the consistency according to you, increase if necessary)

Hi Yeşim, start by adding 3 glasses of water and adjust according to your taste. You can adjust the darkness ratio by adding water.
