Bursa Turkish Delight
Holidays, weddings, circumcisions… They are always filled with the memories of those delicious walnut delights. 🎉 My first question when we go to a guest is: "Is there Turkish delight?" it would be. 😊 I wouldn't trade the taste of walnut delight made with pure olive oil for anything. Its taste blows my mind, especially when it gets a little stale and hard. 😍
When I looked at my blog to prepare the recipe, I came across memories from 12 years ago. My father collected a big bag of walnuts. When I said, "You can bring us something to eat," my mother said, "I want Turkish delight!" said. I started preparing it as soon as I opened my eyes in the morning.
The fragrant smell that surrounded the house while it was cooking took me back to my childhood, years ago. 🕰️ However, this memory that I wrote 12 years ago now has a completely different meaning.
Love…

How to Make Bursa Turkish Delight Recipe?
1. Add instant yeast and sugar to 2 cups of warm water and mix. Wait about 5 minutes for the yeast to activate (the yeast will foam).
2. Add 5 cups of flour, half a tea glass of olive oil and 1 pinch of salt to the water and knead a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, you can add half a glass of flour little by little.
3. Cover the kneaded dough with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
4. While the dough is resting, crush the walnuts (do not crush the walnuts too much).
5. Divide the doubled dough into 2 pieces. Take the first piece on the oiled counter, apply a little more olive oil on it and roll it out with your hand.
6. Sprinkle half of the walnuts on the dough you rolled out, sprinkle the spices and sugar, and then roll it up. Cut the roll into equal pieces.
7. Do the same for the other meringue and place the Turkish delights on a greased tray or cast iron pot.
8. Cover it and let it rest for 15 minutes.
9. Pour some more olive oil before baking and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown.
10. When it cools down, remove it from the container and serve.
