Hello Dear Friends,

This recipe is from my mother's family from a very, very old time, so much so that there is no example of it on the internet right now. I really enjoyed it when I prepared it. There is no ground beef in it, but it is just as delicious as ground beef. This time, I mixed the yeast with granulated sugar while fermenting and added the water and set it aside to ferment.

local delight

It activates so quickly and intensely that you should either activate the yeast in a deep bowl or put a plate under the glass you use, otherwise it will overflow.

Previously, I shared with you both the poppy delight and walnut delight recipe. When you click on their names, you can also access their recipes.

How to Make Bulgur Turkish Delight Recipe?

  1. Mix the yeast and granulated sugar in 1 glass of warm water and mix. Cover and wait a while for the yeast to activate.
  2. Add 5 glasses of flour, yeast, half a tea glass of melted Sana and 1 pinch of salt and knead a soft dough. (If the dough is too sticky at this point, you can add half a cup of flour little by little)
  3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 45 minutes.
  4. While the dough is resting, chop the onion for cooking, put it in a pan with vegetable oil and fry it. Add bulgur to the pinking onions and fry. Add water to the bulgur, mix it and let it drain a little.
  5. Take the pot from the stove, close the lid and leave it to infuse so that the bulgur swells a little.
  6. Divide the dough, which has increased 2-3 times, into tangerine-sized pieces and spread it on the lightly floured counter by spreading the melted Sana.
  7. Put the inner mortar on the dough you opened and roll it. Divide the roll into 2 or 3 equal parts.
  8. Do the same for other meringues and place the Turkish delight on the tray or cast iron pan you have greased.
  9. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Before putting them in the oven, brush egg yolk on the Turkish delights with the help of a brush. Bake in a preheated 185 degree oven until golden brown.
  11. Take it out of the container when it cools down and serve.
