Ingredients for Vegetable Bulgur Pilaf (With Side Dish) Recipe

  • 1 cup bulgur wheat
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic (optional)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • 1 meal spoon tomato paste
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 spoonful butter
  • 2 cup of hot water
  • salt, pepper, cumin

Fabrication:

  1. Chop the onion and garlic finely. Chop the carrots and potatoes into pea-sized pieces.
  2. Heat the oil, add the onion and fry.
  3. When the onions become transparent, add the carrots and fry.
  4. Add the tomato paste and continue frying.
  5. Add bulgur and fry for 1-2 turns. Add potatoes, salt, spices and peas and mix.
  6. Add the boiling water over the bulgur.
  7. Cook on low heat until the rice absorbs its water.
  8. Turn off the stove, let the rice steep for about 10 minutes and serve.
