As we bid farewell to fresh black-eyed peas, one of the most popular flavors of the Aegean, I wanted to prepare a very practical but delicious salad. Black-Eyed Peas Sourdough, Tarator or Teltur Be sure to save this recipe, which is sometimes called stew and is sometimes called “a stew”!

Ingredients for Black-Eyed Peas Sour Recipe
- Half a kilo of fresh black-eyed peas
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Half tea glass of olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- salt
- sliced almonds for serving optional
How to Make Black-Eyed Peas Sour Recipe?
- Remove the heads of the black-eyed peas with a knife and remove any bones, if any.
- Boil in boiling water with salt for 10-12 minutes (time may vary depending on freshness)
- Drain the boiled black-eyed peas.
- Whisk the lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and salt until they turn white.
- Pour over the warm black-eyed peas and mix.
- Let it rest in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving.
