Ingredients for Black-Eyed Peas Sour Recipe

  • Half a kilo of fresh black-eyed peas
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Half tea glass of olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • salt

How to Make Black-Eyed Peas Sour Recipe?

  1. Remove the heads of the black-eyed peas with a knife and remove any bones, if any.
  2. Boil in boiling water with salt for 10-12 minutes (time may vary depending on freshness)
  3. Drain the boiled black-eyed peas. 
  4. Whisk the lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and salt until they turn white.
  5. Pour over the warm black-eyed peas and mix.
