Pesto is a sauce originating from Genoa. An Italian sauce with pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan cheese, garlic and basil. You can replace basil with arugula, purslane or spinach. Pine nuts with walnuts, parmesan with aged cheddar cheese, but the basic recipe is as I mentioned above. It is such a beautiful and delicious sauce that you can use it in everything from pasta to pizza, from cheese plates to bread flavors.

Basil Sauce – Ingredients for Pesto Sauce Recipe

  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 tea glass of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tablespoons of pine nuts
  • 50 g aged cheddar cheese
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Fabrication:

  1. Wash and dry the basil, separate the leaves and put them in the blender.
  2. Add the pine nuts, garlic, and grated cheddar.
  3. Run it by adding olive oil, salt and pepper.
  4. When all the ingredients are thoroughly crushed and mixed, put them in a glass jar.
  5. You can store it for 1 week-10 days in the refrigerator and 1-2 months in the freezer.
