Last week we went to Bauhause to buy land. In fact, we buy the most beautiful soil from the florists in Eminönü. Both the seedlings and the soil are of very good quality. Soils sold in big markets are generally peat soil, also known as peat. Although peat is suitable as a soil conditioner in seedling cultivation, it is not suitable for me as it does not contain nutrients in grown flowers. We found a land exactly as we wanted in Bauhause, where we went thinking we would not find it.

soil selection

Well, while you're at it, you can't go without visiting the Botanic & Garden section. At first, we could not understand the pressed objects in the form of plates that we saw while browsing the soil nutrients and fertilizer section. Maybe the plate could be fertilizer. When we examined a little, we learned that there are pressed soils. It was very interesting and different and we bought a package for not trying it.

There is a small hole in the middle of each plate. You plant one or two of the seeds you want to make seedlings into these holes and drip 100 ml of water on the plates. We used clean scouring sponges at home to drip water. As it continues to drip, the plates that absorb the water begin to swell and rise. When it rises about 5 cm, it reaches its full size and traps the water it absorbs.

There is something you need to pay attention to when dripping water. It says on the package to put the seeds first and then drip water, but in this way the dripping water can hit the seed and get it out. That's why it's a good idea to wait for them to swell well and put the seeds last.

While thinking about what to plant in the pressed plates we bought, we thought of the seeds we bought from the Armutlu neighborhood market in the past years. While saluting the uncle who does not write what seeds are on the bags of the seeds we bought openly, we planted them without knowing what they were :)

As far as I know more or less from their seeds, we guess that they are parsley and mint. I put them in a sunny place and saw them dry on weekdays, so I wet them with a drop of water about once every 2 days. When I checked the seedlings this morning, which I could not see any movement until yesterday evening, we were very happy to see that one of them said hello to the world. I was amazed at how it had grown so much in one night, and when I looked at the others I saw that they were starting to fluff lightly into the soil. I think they'll be out tomorrow too. I plan to plant them in their real places after they shed their first leaves.

Hi, the pressed earth is super, thank you, I must go too. The plant you planted looks more like purslane.
