Ingredients for Puff Pastry Tart with Almond Cream and Figs

  • 4 square puff pastry sheets
  • 4-6 fresh black figs
  • 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar

For the Almond Cream:

  • 1 cup almond powder (ground almonds)
  • 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar (heaping)
  • 2 egg white

For the sides of the puff pastry:

  • egg yolk

How to Make Puff Pastry Tart with Almond Cream and Figs?

  1. Take the puff pastry out of the freezer and place on wax paper. Draw 1 cm from the edges of the puff pastry as in the photo and pierce the inside of the square with a fork.
  2. While the puff pastry is softening, whisk all the ingredients for the cream in a bowl until they are completely mixed.
  3. Divide the cream in the middle of the puff pastry and spread it with the help of a spoon.
  4. Arrange the sliced ​​figs on the cream, sprinkle with granulated sugar and powdered cinnamon.
  5. Brush the edges of the puff pastries with egg yolk and bake for 175 minutes in a preheated oven at 25 degrees.
  6. When the cooked puff pastry comes to room temperature, take it from the tray and serve.
