We love rice pilaf as a family, but my wife's love for rice is completely different. Even though we haven't cooked as much as before, I wanted to add another pilaf recipe as an alternative for new menus as the month of Ramadan is approaching. Kismet is rice with barley vermicelli.
I especially prefer baldo rice to stay in standard size and I always wash my rice and keep it in warm water. Thus, I always maintain the ratio of 1 to 1,5 parts of water.

Ingredients for Barley Noodle Rice Rice Recipe
- 2 cups of rice for rice
- 3 spoonful butter
- 1 tablespoons of oil
- 1 cup of Turkish coffee barley vermicelli
- 3 cups + half a cup of hot water
- Salt
How to Make Barley Noodle Rice Rice Recipe?
- Sort the rice, put it in the strainer, wash it in 2-3 waters until the starch runs out.
- Soak it in warm water, wait for 15 minutes, wash it again with plenty of water and drain thoroughly.
- Mix and melt the butter and vegetable oil in the pan, add the vermicelli and fry them until their color turns slightly and their odor comes out.
- Add the rice and fry it until it becomes glassy and does not stick together.
- Add the hot water and salt, cook on high heat until the eyes are covered, and cook on low heat when the eyes are covered.
- When the water is drawn, close the bottom and let it rest for 10 minutes with the lid closed. Mix before serving and transfer to plates.
