In my old company, there was a restaurant we went to when I could go out to lunch. Whenever I went, I would order myself a barley noodle pilaf if it was out that day.

I've been married for 3 years, whenever I said to my wife, "Let's make noodle pilaf tonight", she would say no, let's not do it. Taking advantage of his playing the guitar on Sunday, I entered the kitchen quietly :) In my mind, barley noodle pilaf will definitely be made today.

fresh cyprus

I wanted to spice up my barley noodle pilaf a little, since I've been cooking mushroom-pepperoni sausage and freshly fried potatoes (fresh cypriot potatoes). By adding pepper and mushrooms to it, I got a very pleasant taste. I recommend you to make the barley noodle pilaf plain next to the juicy meat patties.

Now you will ask, did your wife eat rice? saying. What a word to eat loved it :)

From now on, lots of noodle pilaf will be cooked at home :) Best regards….

Ingredients for Barley Noodle Rice Recipe

  • 1,5 cup of barley noodles
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 1 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 chicken or beef bouillon

Optionally:

  • Half of 1 sweet red pepper
  • 2 mushrooms

How to Make Barley Noodle Rice Recipe?

  1. Heat the Teflon pan by putting the butter and oil.
  2. Add the barley vermicelli and fry over medium heat until the vermicelli changes colour. Add chicken bouillon on it and fry quickly for 1-2 more minutes.
  3. Add 3 glasses of water to the colored vermicelli and mix.
  4. Cover the pot and cook it on medium heat until the water evaporates slightly (stirring in between). Cook the mixed rice for about 6-7 minutes on low heat until it completely absorbs its water and remove it from the stove.
  5. After infusing for 10 minutes, serve.

I saw your recipe and tried it before, my wife asked for it many times. I don't know how many times I'm making it, but I still like to look at your recipe while making it. I make it next to the chicken meal, it started to cook more at home than rice pilaf.
As a part time housewife who has just started cooking, I learned a lot from you, thank you very much.

I think it will take up to 2,5-3 cups at most. I think it will fit 6-8 people. Might be enough for 10 people if you have something extra on your menu. Otherwise, I recommend you to measure from 2 packages with a glass again.

    Hello there,
When I read your recipe, I immediately thought of our late cook, Ramazan Usta. (You know, they say, because he wanted mercy, so be it)
He had a dish called ankara pan, he would boil the meat with bones (it was probably lamb) and make a noodle pilaf with its broth, lay the meat on it and serve it after baking. we all enjoyed it very much. I recommend it to all of you. your work looks very nice too, well done

Meat barley noodle pilaf was brought out in the university cafeteria when he was a student.
I also do it from time to time, remembering those days...
