German Style Potato Salad
Hello Dear Friends,
Since we woke up to an icy Istanbul morning, it means we have enough excuses to have a lunch break :)
Today I have a delicious recipe for the weekend. Many of us have already made potato salad before, German style potato salad is a flavor that I think those who try it for the first time will like.
It goes especially well with meat dishes. I think the best example of this is chicken schnitzel and veal schnitzel. You can find the recipes by clicking the links.
There are many different versions of the German-style potato salad, but the essential ingredients are potatoes, mayonnaise, mustard and onions. Some add apples and gherkins. Others add fresh coriander or parsley.
You can optionally add chopped onions, but my preference was for the fresh one.
I didn't add any extra salt as I boiled it in salted water and just drained it. I also avoided adding extra oil as it has mayonnaise in it. Also, because I love granular mustard, I used it this way, but you can also use regular mustard. Just enjoy the taste.
Also, do not peel thin-skinned baby potatoes. You can peel it if you want, but the crust is delicious.
