Baked Butter Whole Chicken

Afterwards, I drowned in what can be considered routine work, and as soon as I found some space, I decided to give a practical chicken recipe that can turn your dinner into a feast even in such busy times.
Our recipe is that you will make using an oven bag. Whole Chicken with Butter, Lemon and Fresh Spices. His name is long, but he is very practical. It is so delicious that you can separate the water and make chicken rice or soup with the remaining meat a day later.
I usually like to use rosemary and thyme, but you can even add sage to your taste.

Ingredients for Baked Butter Whole Chicken Recipe
- 1 medium chicken (about 1 kg)
- Half a lemon
- 3 spoonful butter
- 2-3 sprigs of rosemary
- 4-5 stalks of fresh thyme
- salt
- mill black pepper
- 1 medium onions
- 1 cloves of garlic
- optional 1 bay leaf
- 1 oven bag
Fabrication:
- Wash and dry the chicken. Wash the lemon and grate 2 teaspoons of the peel.
- Mix the butter, fresh spices, salt, pepper and 2 teaspoons of lemon zest with your hands.
- Peel the garlic and onion and cut into 2 bars.
- Take some of the spiced butter you prepared with the tip of your finger.
- First, loosen the back skin of your chicken with your hand and rub the butter between the skin and the meat (going as far as you can without tearing the skin).
- Do the same for the chest and thighs. Rub the remaining butter on the upper skin of the chicken.
- Put the onion and garlic, which you cut into two parts, on the inside of the chicken together with half a lemon.
- Put the plate you prepared in the oven bag and close the mouth of the pot and make 1-2 holes on it with the help of a knife.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 65-70 minutes. At the end of this period, cut the oven bag and open the grill of the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes.
- Serve your fried chicken hot.
The recipe is good, but the experts definitely find the oven bag very inconvenient and say not to use it. For your information.

It looks very nice in your hands. Which floor of the oven do you put it on and do you cook it on the tray or do you put it directly on the wire grill?
I put it in the middle compartment, instead of the baking tray, I usually put it in a medium-sized pyrex on the wire rack.

Yes, you can. I use oven bags for thigh and thigh chops and I am very happy with the result.
