Another delicious recipe on our menu is Süleymaniye soup. If we say there is nothing in it, it has its place :) It is both very tasty and satisfying.

I like lentils to stay granular, but if you want, you can cook them as if you were making lentil soup and put them in a blender. When the soup is smooth, you can cook it by adding vegetables and meatballs.

Ingredients for Sulaymaniyah Soup Recipe

  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • Half of 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup of red lentils
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of Sana Classic
  • 6,5 water glass of water
  • 2-3 pinches of spinach
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • cumin

For the meatballs:

  • 250 gr mince
  • salt
  • black pepper

Fabrication:

  1. For mini meatballs, put the ground beef in a mixing bowl, add salt and pepper and knead, make meatballs slightly larger than marbles and put them in the refrigerator.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic finely.
  3. Grate the carrot, dice the zucchini. Finely chop the spinach.
  4. Wash and drain the red lentils 2-3 times.
  5. Take 2 tablespoons of Sana Classic in a medium saucepan, add onion and garlic and fry it.
  6. Add the carrots and lentils and continue frying.
  7. Add 6-7 glasses of water and cook until the soup starts to thicken.
  8. If necessary, add 2-3 more glasses of water and add the prepared meatballs to the boiling soup.
  9. When the meatballs are cooked, add the spinach and cook for 2 more minutes, remove from the stove and serve.
