Ingredients for Practical Chestnut Stuffed Rice Recipe
- 1 half of a medium sized onion
- 2 spoonful butter
- 1 large cup of rice
- 1 pack of currants
- 1 pack of peanuts
- 1 cup cooked chestnuts
- Cinnamon
- allspice
- salt
- black pepper
Fabrication:
- Wash the rice and let it rest in warm salt water for half an hour.
- Chop the onions finely and add them to the pot. Add a little salt and fry until the onions turn slightly pink.
- Add pine nuts to the fried onions and fry until they do not take on too much color. Add the rice and fry.
- Add the currants and their water.
- Add cinnamon, allspice, salt, black pepper and chestnuts, mix and cook on low heat with the lid closed until the water is absorbed.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes with the lid closed and then serve.
